Typical Airline Requirements
Requirements vary by airline, but most candidates will need:
- Minimum age of 18 (21+ for some international carriers)
- Right to work in the relevant country, and a passport with minimal travel restrictions
- A minimum arm-reach height (commonly around 210cm on tiptoes) to access overhead bins and safety equipment
- Good general health and physical fitness, including the ability to swim a set distance unaided
- Secondary school education (GCSE-level or equivalent); no degree required
- Fluent English; additional languages are a strong advantage
- Customer service experience is preferred but not always mandatory
