easyJet Cabin Crew Requirements and Process
This page summarises what easyJet states on its official careers website about becoming cabin crew, so you can understand the process before you apply. Recruitment details change, so always check the current page.
Source and date: the official easyJet Cabin Crew careers page, read on 27 October 2026. At that time the page said that London Gatwick recruitment was open, and that requirements for other bases were being finalised for Summer 2027.
Do you need flying experience?
No. easyJet states that you do not need previous flying experience and that it gives all the training you need.
What easyJet looks for
The page describes a mindset it calls “Orange Spirit”: positive, inclusive and ready to take on every challenge. In the minimum requirements it lists, easyJet states that you will need to:
- Have at least 6 months’ experience in a customer-facing or people-focused role
- Communicate clearly, confidently and kindly
- Hold a valid passport with unrestricted travel across the UK, EEA and the easyJet network
- Pass a UK CAA or EASA cabin crew medical and fit securely into a jump seat
easyJet’s page also has an FAQ called “What are easyJet’s requirements to become Cabin Crew?” with further detail, so read it in full before you apply.
The four-step application process
- Online application: if you meet the minimum requirements, you submit your details with a copy of your valid passport and an up-to-date CV.
- Online assessment: an ability test that assesses verbal reasoning, situational judgement and workplace behaviour. Find a quiet place and check that your computer meets the technical requirements.
- Application review: easyJet reviews your application in detail, including your CV, passport copy and completed questions.
- Interview: most interviews take place virtually, with a group exercise and a competency-based interview. Occasionally you may be invited to an in-person assessment day, which includes a presentation, a group exercise and a competency-based interview.
Training
easyJet states that its initial training course lasts four weeks and covers safety equipment and procedures, first aid, aviation security and dangerous goods, customer service, and cabin service and uniform standards. It includes practical sessions, a swimming assessment and pre-course work. Training takes place at easyJet academies at London Gatwick or Milan Malpensa, or in Geneva for Swiss bases, with hotel accommodation provided if your base is elsewhere. If you pass your exams, you receive your “wings”.
The lifestyle
easyJet describes the job as a roster of early starts, late finishes and weekend shifts, with time off between flights. It states that you can apply to become a Cabin Manager after 12 months as crew.
How to prepare
- Practise situational judgement and teamwork scenarios, because the online assessment tests them.
- Prepare real examples for a competency-based interview using the STAR method, with the Cabin Crew Interview Question Bank.
- Prepare your CV with the Aviation CV & Cover Letter Template.
- Read what to expect at a cabin crew assessment day.
